this is gonna b a funny, silly & childish post..

i thought of this cos i jus received a call from this guy who said he is from VE Group.. and his company is hiring pple at the age of 17-20++++ for part-time positions.. so he jus asked me to go down to his company.. which is located at MDIS?? hence i told him alright.. n i’ve an interview next fri 5pm.. lolx..

I WAS JUS PLAYING ALONG.. LOLX..

i’m not so stupid la boy(he’s called Jeremy).. i noe the ploys of MLM companies and desperate job recruiters (come on i once worked at a job agency & i’m a marketing undergrad!).. ok i’m evil tricking him dat i’l go down (he even said ‘dun fly my aeroplane ah.. sg slang for not showing up for appointment/meeting).. but HAHA.. i’m love playing tricks cannot ah?

so next wk when he calls back.. i’m goin to do some stupid stuffs..

u can use the listed ideas below to counter irritating telemarkets, desperate job recruiters or even ur bf/gf(who keeps calling u to ask for a 2nd chance)..

ok here r the ways:

1. get a friend/some one else to answer in a weeping tone: ‘hello? sniff sniff.. eh looking for Aurora? may i noe who is this calling?’ ‘o i’m Jeremy from VE Company.. ‘ ‘o Jeremy can i noe when did u call Aurora?’ ‘i called last fri evening regarding job employment’ ‘OMG Jeremy she passed away last thurs evening………………………..’

2. ask an open minded female fren(with a very diff voice if ur a female!) to pose as a hooker and say ‘Hi! who r u?’ ‘I’m Jeremy looking for Aurora cos she is supposed..’ ‘JEREMY!! R U FREE TONIGHT? I’M OFFERING $200 A NITE!! I’M SURE U’L B PLEASED WIT MY SERVICE!!! PROMISED!!’ ‘…eh?’ (if the person puts down the phone and u wanna b even more evil ask ur female fren to call him back n solicited non-stop)

3. if u r online pick up the call and put the phone near the com and play the Power Rangers theme song.. ‘GO GO POWER RANGERS’…. or well maybe the Teletubbies song too? ‘Teletubbies.. teletubbies.. say.. hello… hello!’

4. if u r outside alone n u hav free incoming calls (which i think most of u do rit?).. jus accept the call n put to loud speakers(put the volume to lowest of cos!).. den he/she wil be lik ‘hello? hello?’ and hearing background noises only.. hehehe.. if he/she calls back jus repeat this step again n again until he/she stops :P

5. ok for this step i think it’l work better if ur a guy.. and u hav to control urself from suddenly LOL.. answer the call in a regretful tone ‘erm.. Hi jeremy..’ ‘Hello Alex.. so where r u now?’ ‘er.. i’m sorry Jeremy i was Alex now i’m Alice.. i had a sex operation ytd u see……’ ‘eh wad???’ ‘yes Jeremy i dun think i can go for the appointment now cos i hav not gotten my breasts implants yet so how bout tml??’ (if he answers back jus continue playing along n say things lik ‘i can’t be discharged yet cos the doctor wants to monitor my new vagina in case my body rejects it’.. jus say bullshit stuffs!!)

6. get someone else to answer the phone and reply in a strict tone ‘ur looking for Aurora? do u noe dat she’s not supposed to look for jobs now cos she’s stil in a girl’s home? she was arrested a few months ago for taking drugs, selling her body, killing and eating cats, plus worse of all biting pple and sucking their blood.. n also do u noe dat by offering her a job u can b sentenced to jail?’

7. divert the call to Mcdonalds.. or if u wanna b a baddie.. divert it to another recruitment agency(if its a job employer).. if its ur ex-bf/gf.. divert it to his/her enemy.. or his/her mom.. or his/her school

8. k this one’s diirrrttyyy play a video of a couple climaxing durin sex and make sure the caller hears every single bit of the.. noise.. (u noe wad noise la!) kekeke

9. answer the call personally and say ‘Hihi! who r u??’ den he’l say things lik ‘i called u last wk? i’m Jeremy.. i’m calling bout the job? i’m from VE Company?’ ‘erm Jeremy? i seriously dun rmb u calling! anyway r u interested in buying insurance? u wanna meet up so i can offer u some insurance policies dat’r really beneficial? i mean come on.. u’l nv noe when u might break ur leg or neck or lik die tml? opps i’m sorry! but i’ve lik tonnes of different insurance types to suit u whether its for housing, car, student, medical.. u name it i’ve got it all.. and plus if u can get ur frens to buy from me i’l giv u guys a grp discount? u noe in contemporary society we humans r so vulnerable to accidents or death. jus getting an insurance can help u n ur family in case u die. opps shit not again! ah well i jus hope u get wad i mean rit Jeremy?…’ (continue wit the insurance crap.. stop him from cutting into ur conversation too.. if he agrees to meet then play along as usual.. den if he calls back jus repeat this shit again.. let’s see whether he wil call again!).. if its ur ex calling den get someone else to sell the insurance

10. this one is not applicable for calls from ur ex! again.. answer the call personally and b in a PMS mode (if ur a guy den act a bit gayish).. say things lik ‘hey jeremy.. my bf/gf jus broke up wit me? wad should i do?’ ‘er broke up? u’ve an appointment for the interview so r u stil coming?’ ‘i dunno jeremy dear.. i feel so moody now.. hiax..’ den continue treating him/her lik Aunt Agony.. tell him/her all ur sad stories.. grief.. blabla.. n if he wants to put down the phone threaten to commit suicide.. make him/her scared.. den suddenly put down the phone.. when he/she calls back say ‘HA! GOTCHA! do u noe u were on live-tv jus now!?’

ytd during lecture me & my other 2 frens were chatting bout setting up an online shop.. (it was jus a short conversation though)

sounds fun?

it sure does to us.. including my other ‘know-me-very-well-WAD’ fren (she didn’t go for lect as she was sick)..

nowadays.. its so common to find teens doing online biz.. majority of those i noe r selling clothes.. accessories.. it so blasé rit? u can find tonnes of them at http://community.livejournal.com/sgspree/ or if ur a M.A.C fannatic lik me.. u can purchase M.A.C makeup(used or samples) from numerous youth sellers at http://community.livejournal.com/mac_cosmetics/

so yup.. we were thinking of how to differentiate ourselves and make it successful amongst the millions of youth online entrepreneurs.. den my fren suddenly talked bout being a wedding planner.. n dat led me to suggest being a birthday planner.. lolx.. i mean most of us hold parties for our 21st bdae yeah? so y not turn it into a money-generating opportunity? i mean yes a wedding is a huge affair compared to a 21st bdae.. but so? we’r jus doing it partly out of fun and for experience sake.. hence isn’t it better to start small first? (ya i noe events is not a form of online merchandising)

my fren also suggested selling other things which i’m not gonna write here incase u peeps steal our ideas.. lolx *ok i’m selfish but which human being isn’t?*

well though its all jus a small talk.. i hope it’l turn into reality! it’l be a great chance to gain new insights into this commercial world and more importantly.. put our biz knowledge into practical usage =)

being our own bosses is no easy feat! but as long as we r keen into committing our time for it.. y not? life’s too short for jus studying only!

my midterm tests r coming and i’m freaking out cos i’ve not done consistent revision.. dat’s me… *slacker*

wil finish my tests in 2 wks time.. and i gotta catch up in my Jap language class too.. its getting tougher.. *sighx*

btw i’m starting to love jap stuffs.. i saw my fren’s notebook today n its damn かわいい (cute)!! it has the bunny from Bambi? the female mate of Thumper? and the notebook has the detailed Tokyo Metro/Subway Map.. cool eh? plus even calories of Jap food.. lolx.. it costs $8.. for a teeny weeny 8cm by 4 cm by 0.3 cm notebook.. she bought it in Bugis.. gonna visit dat shop (called A n B??) to find more Jap goodies

n i’m looking for the receipe to make どらやき? Dorayaki? ya i noe its Doraemon’s fav snack (i dun lik Doraemon!!!!).. its selling at 5 per pack and costs ard $7.50.. so expensive!! n my fren told me dat its sold in a set at Ajisen for $19.80?? gosh.. jap products really cost a bomb.. so i’m on the hunt now to find the receipe and hopefully the ones i make will be as yummilicious as the authetic ones

Clinique 3 step skin system (bad!) February 23, 2008

i am looking for new skin care routine products(facial wash + toner + moisturizer).. jus kinda sick of using Neutrogena.. well.. for a drug store brand.. its not bad.. as a matter of fact i think its one of the best & more popular brands good for money value too! the only set back is dat it doesn’t have the ‘makes my skin refreshed & soft’ factor.. it jus well.. cleanses thoroughly.. tadah.. dat’s it..

recently i chanced upon M.A.C Lightful Cleanser and Kose Clear Lotion(its a toner).. both worked very well.. gave me soft, smooth, clean & fresh skin after usage.. both are samples and i am goin to buy the full versions next wk(after reading many awful reviews of the Clinique 3 step system).. *reviews of the both products here & here respectively*

ok the story here is.. initially i tot since Clinique is a very well know dermatological brand.. i mean well.. on par with Biotherm?? maybe i should giv the 3 step skin system a try? afterall its within my budget and i tot it’l b gd to use skincare items from the same single brand (enhances the overall effect? since they’r supposed to work together rit??).. so i went to check on reviews.. incase i might splurge wrongly and end up regretting (jus lik for my newly bought Kose Perfect Cleansing Oil.. i thought its for all skin types.. but nah! its for dry skin.. according to HER WORLD.. and i’ve combi skin! wasted my $35.. and i can’t exchange it.. money-back policies does not exist in Sg)…

so i searched Yahoo! & Google.. read from epinions.com, makeupalley.com and some other webbies.. seems like it had mixed reviews.. some loved how it exfoliates their skin leaving it smooth.. some mentioned how it moisturizers their skin.. but many mentioned dat the toner burns the skin?? and some had more acne after using it? (although one said dat u r supposed to hav acne after using it at first since the skincare is supposed to clear all the impurities??)

den i clicked on the Melbourne Dermatology webpage.. and surprisingly.. it said:

The Clinique 3 Step System purports to create great skin from a foundation comprising:

1. soap (to strip, dry and irritate the skin);
2. nail polish remover as toner (to strip, dry and further irritate the skin, and to occupy financially relevant space between steps one and three) and
3. a crude unevenly moisturizing orange-yellow goop (to partially counteract the idiocy of steps one and two, and leave enough residue to warrant repeating those same especially harsh steps at the end of the day).

P.S.S. anyone noes of any gd moisturizer for combi skin? sorry La Mer is way too expensive for me.. i’m using Neutrogena moisturizer for combi skin. works alright for me.. jus wan try something new?

P.S.S.S. hmm jus wondering.. if the skin care system is so bad.. den how did it survive thru these 40 yrs and are stil selling lik hotcakes now? mus b a really effective and deceptive marketing? or maybe it works well.. jus for minute amounts of ladies only.. *ponders*

f*cking password headaches February 22, 2008

i’m having a hell of a time managing my RMIT portal password.. i jus forgotten my password after resetting it last wk and argh.. ok here’s the whole story..

1) a few months ago.. i could not log in.. tried lik numerous times.. and i stil failed.. so ok fine.. i emailed the helpdesk(whom i think should noe me as the-constant-bugger by now)… so i was given a new password and told dat its only a 90-day-password.. n i’l hav to reset it when it expires.. i was lazy at dat time so i didn’t reset it and partly cos the pop-up page for resetting took aeons to load (i’ve even unblock my pop-up blocker.. it didn’t help)

2) finally.. my password expired (after less den 90 days!?).. and i wanted to reset it.. kept trying to load the damn reset webpage and i couldnt.. so i emailed the helpdesk again.. n i was told some instructions.. tried.. but failed (as usual).. the procedure to reset ur password is not so simple when it comes to rmit portal.. u got to do this do dat click here click there.. DAMN!! hence i emailed them back.. and gave them my rmit id.. they replied saying dat the id i gave did not exist.. so i checked n yeah.. my fault.. i gave the wrong id.. argh.. den i tried resetting the password again on my own.. n ta dah!! after an hr.. i succeeded plus i set a password challenged ques so dat in case i ever forget my password (LIKE NOW) i wouldnt hav to bug them again.. then i emailed them to apologise saying i gave the wrong id and i was being irritating.. lolx

3) NOW: argh.. i can’t rmb my bbllooooodddyyyyyy password.. damn damn damn.. i clicked on the ‘forgot ur password’ option and after typing my id.. it led me to a horrible terrible page….. the ‘manage your password page’.. this page scares me to bits.. damn.. cos nothing helps when ur led to this page since nothing ever loads when u click on the options.. so in short.. ur in a DEAD END. thus i emailed the helpdesk.. lol this time using a different email.. hehehe.. i hope this helps in not letting them recognise its ME-THE-CONSTANT-BUGGER (again!).. so they replied back saying they need my DOB & address to verify dat i’m the correct user and not someone playing a fool.. sighz.. *waitin for their reply now*

i’m doing all this shit all these while so dat i can check answers for my tutorials. f*cking annoyed! y can’t they make the system procedure or wadeva its called easier? for non IT literate damsels like me???

Singapore to host inaugural 2010 Youth Olympics? February 21, 2008

ok.. so we beat Moscow to get this privilege..

as a Singaporean.. of cos i feel proud of my nation for winning this bid..

but how successful wil it be?

i’m not sure of it since we’ve not done any major sports hosting before.. and also.. we do not hav a very strong sports culture/atmosphere here too.. rit?? *all we do is study & think of making $$*

The PM assured the IOC dat everything wil be up by 2010 and a University Village wil be built to accomodate the athletes.. so after the Youth Olympics.. wad wil become of the University Village? and exactly how wil this big event bring about to help boost our economic development and growth? in a crude way.. we’r jus spending USD $75 million to build some temporary structures to host something big in order to gain positive international recognition in multisports hosting/big event hosting?

also.. in 2010.. our Integrated Resorts wil be up at Marina & Sentosa.. so from now to 2010.. our country wil b undergoing a huge change and aahhh.. our service sector wil b expanded rapidly huh?

recession is on its way here.. however we hav been told many times by PM & the MM dat ‘SG wil weather the storm..’.. how sure huh? u can nv ever prevent a recession.. it comes app every 13 yrs (if u noe the Biz Cycle).. n the predicted trough (lowest end of the recession) is ard 2011?? since the last one was 1997.. i’m jus wondering is it wrong to invest in so many big scale projects at this recession-to-come-very-soon period.. furthermore.. i personally feel dat our Resorts at Sentosa is not very impressive.. jus look at the size of Universal Studios.. its peanuts compared to the one at Osaka, Japan.. fine.. we’r a small country.. lack of area.. but sighz.. themeparks need to b BIG.. dat’s a v basic rule rit? and plus.. South Korea jus announced last yr end dat they’r also building another Universal Studios.. n theirs is HUGE too.. they’r spending ard USD$3.1 Billion and it wil b completed by 2012.. *more competition* (our Resorts at Sentosa app costs USD 3.83 Billion)..

ok back to the hosting.. if u think of it positively.. well maybe we can use this as an opportunity to open doors for us.. we may not b able to host the Olympics or Winter Olympics(we dun even hav Winter.. lolx).. but if this event goes successfully.. our image to the rest of the world wil b changed.. lik.. ‘wow! even a small red dot can host such a big event! impressive!’ and we might get more chances to host other international events??

i certainly do hope dat both the IRs & the Youth Olympics opens/goes on smoothly.. as a vulnerable country.. we can’t afford to make mistakes.. plus 2010 is my graduation yr.. i dun wanna graduate in a yr where every company is retrenching staffs..

M.A.C Lightful Cleanser review (+)! February 20, 2008

Everyday cleanser with a soft foamy smooth-on, rinse-off action. Efficiently removes makeup. Cleanses, calms, refreshes and balances the skin. Manages oily areas, soothes dry skin, and helps reduce redness.

i was given a sample size (6ML) of it when i went for the N Collection workshop.. n i’m v pleased with it! it delivers wad it promises.. i use it 2-3 times a day(i’m a super clean freak).. with jus a wee bit each time(0.5cm or less!).. and true enough.. a little goes a long way.. this cleanser made my skin less oily.. much softer and smoother.. plus i dun get much pimples now too  i’ve not tried to use it to rinse off my makeup cos i’m stil using my Kose makeup oil.. but nonetheless i’m v happy with this product! and i’m goin to purchase the full size soon!

it costs S$42/USD$22 for 100ML

n btw.. i’ve been using the sample daily for 2 wks and i’ve not finished using it yet so the full size one wil last me for at least 10 months?

worth the money.. or maybe i should say.. its a pricey but worthwhile investment!

The (magic!) White Eyeliner February 18, 2008

heard of it? well this thingy here makes ur eyes bigger u’l look less sleepy and its great if u wanna look lik u had a perfect beauty sleep the nite b4!

many ppl think dat only black eyeliner makes ur eyes look bigger.. however black liner only outlines ur eyes.. and it doesnt give u dat ‘wide-awake’ look.. n if u screw up.. u’l only end up looking lik a panda..

jus put the white eyeliner on ur waterline.. if ur conservative or afraid of overdoing it.. jus draw it on the inner corners of the water line

my white liner is from M.A.C eye kohl pencil dat’s called Fascinating. it works fabulously well.. it lasts for at least 4 hours(i dun tear often) and its so soft on application worth my S$27 :P n its a long pencil too! i’ve used it for lik 10 times already? but i’ve not sharpen it yet

secondly its the stickers! its an A4 size sheet.. i’m gonna use 1 set (i’ve got 2) to decorate my paintpot and other MAC items

my FAFI V-day! February 15, 2008

happy Valentine’s day!

(i noe its a day late!)

ok i spent my entire V day outside..

1) went for Stats lect which was extremely boring

2) went to town to get my FAFI items.. pics will up on monday only manage to grab Cult Fav lipglass & the Cash Flow eyeshadow(my 1st paintpot!!) wil b buying the rest of my wants next wk & today my bf bought me the Ermine doll(it is SOLD OUT at the CK Tang branch)..HAAAPPPPPYYYYYYY!!!

3) acc amanda to far east, wisma, ngee ann, heeren, cineleisure.. my legs almost broke. and i visited LV for the first time in my life! i’ve decided.. my first LV item wil b the sunglasses.. very lovely, tai-taish and elegant.. hehe!

4) went to PS.. to meet my bf.. he was late for ½ hour so i went window shopping.. think i might get a pair of M)phosis slippers? provided dat i hav spare cash from my monthly M.A.C purchases (i spent $100+ each time.. SCARY… ISN’T IT……..)

5) den i headed on to the glasshouse Fish & Co.. lucky we were early.. cos by 6 30 pm the queue was long.. like at least 20 pple queuing.. n strangely there was No queue at Sakae Sushi next door… hmm y? no sushi for V day? or cos the ambience at Fish & Co is better??

6) had the seafood platter set meal.. i’d giv it 3/5 rating.. the fish was so dry.. it wasn’t the usual fried one.. overall i only liked the choc (dat was given in the set) best..

my personal thoughts: i always thought dat Singaporeans dun really care about V day.. but from my experience ytd.. i am DAMN WRONG! everywhere was crowded wit pple getting last min gifts and many lady shoppers were doing their usual retail therapy too.. haha maybe they took a day off?? at Burberry i saw a man buying a $1307 bag for his wife.. i think he mus b earning a 5-figure sum monthly huh? n i saw many young couples wearing couple tees.. many school students hanging ard(as if there was no school).. many cheerful ladies holding flowers.. well to sum up.. many happy & loving couples celebrating their V day

i hope u had a wonderful memorable V day! for singles.. who cares? as long as u enjoyed ur day.. dat’s wad it counts!!

today’s Life! section featured the Gutsy Girls of hollywood.. young rising starlets who wil take over veteran actresses like Jodie Foster, Nicole Kidman etc.. the paper featured 5 young ladies: Ellen Pages, Natalie Portman, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood & Scarlett Johansson (woohoo!).. and i feel dat one lady is missing… ….

Keira Knightley (yea dat’s a very sexy Keira in suspenders!)

i shall do a little write up on Keira den.. she deserves all the attention as well

Keira is born on 26 Mar 1985 in Teddington, London.. many of u might not noe.. she suffers from Dyslexia but went on to a talent agency successfully. Initially her mom forbidded her from being an actress.. as her mom herself was an unsuccessful scriptwriter at dat point of time.. so she did not want her daugther to enter the acting world.. in fear dat she might not make it big.

Before movie roles.. Keira starred in several TV shows.. and her first Hollywood movie is Star Wars episode 1: The Phantom Menace.. she plays the role of Sabe (the queen’s decoy).. she got this role as she looks pretty similar to Natalie Portman (which i feel so too!).. den she starred in other British films such as Love Actually, Bend it like Beckham dat gave her further international recognition.. n she was only 17! Later on.. many of u might noe.. she is cast as Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy.. during this period of time.. she also acted in Pride & Prejudice.. as Lizzie.. her role here led her to be nominated in the 2005 Golden Globe and Oscars for Best Actress (she was only 20).. n in 2006.. she became the new face for Chanel Mademoiselle perfum.. recently.. she is nominated for Best Actress at the 2008 Golden Globe(again!) and BAFTA for her role as Cecilia in Atonement.. a pity she didn’t get an Oscar nomination though.

her next movies will be The Duchess (she acts as Georgina Canvendish) and The Edge of Love (as Vera Phillips)..

byebye $ – i wasted $5.. i thought i had signed up for the test.. but all i did was jus create an account (and it expires soon so i’l hav to waste money creating another one again).. DaMn.. so i finally booked the test.. 5 May.. good gracious.. 3 more months away.. nvm i shall focus my time on skool and jap class.. *i’m so stupid*

byebye time – ok this is jus a whining section. after a 1 wk break.. i’m lik back to holiday mood.. totally no motivation to flip my text or notes or touch them or see them.. all i do everyday is nap.. eat.. surf net (thus u see many blog posts).. wasting my youth away.. until jus now my dad asked ‘dun u hav any hw?’.. i answered ‘no school is very slack’.. which is quite true la.. i mean if u dun do ur tutorial no one is gonna spank ur butt or chase u ard.. if u fail its ur prob.. furthermore there’r no projects this sem.. jus more tests and assignments.. i’m trying not to cram everything to the last min.. but i can’t help being an aimless lazy bum..
