Ma Ying Jeou muz b jumping with joy now
As for Frank Hsieh.. try harder for the next election!
<edit: he wants to retire from politics? o man.. another blow to DPP>
i was in my dad’s car listening to this chinese FM reporting about the election.. n i find this interview (between a reporter & a pro KMT voter) interesting.. it signifies a lot in a (thinking)Singaporean’s mind
Reporter: how do u feel abt the poll results so far?
Voter: i am very very happy
Reporter: so with MYJ’s win.. wad wil it mean to Taiwan?
Voter: i tink Taiwan wil prosper and our diplomatic r/s with Mainland China will improve
Reporter: wad do u feel lik doing now?
Voter: i wan to hug my family.. celebrate this win with my friends and relative *in a very delighted tone*
and there’r further reports on how disappointed those DPP supporters r.. none of them willing to b interviewed..
gosh.. do such a scenario exists in Sg? when PAP win’s the majority of the seats (always.. as usual) or when Nathan gets his presidency without rivals.. do u see Singaporeans jumping happily screaming ‘YAY!!!’.. go PAP!! go Nathan!!
it is often said dat the cause for this anti-politics atmosphere here is due to the fear of receiving harsh punishments as a result of being sued from you-noe-who..
den came in another report a few wks ago? stating dat many talented Singaporeans r migrating.. n 1 of the reasons is cos of ‘no political freedom’..
if we had political freedom here.. wad would life b lik? as mentioned b4 dat we r a very vulnerable country (worst off we hav no natural resources to rely on too).. any racial disharmony/protestings for change of policies/labour party strikes (FYI: NTUC is not a v genuine labour party).. would cause terrible damage to our economy.. our lives would not b so peaceful den yea?
ok if things ain’t so bad.. if we r given slightly more political freedom.. how would things b den? to me.. slightly more political freedom would mean dat we can hold protests/strikes whenever we want to but not due to small trivia stuffs(u noe there wil b some pple who wil abuse their privileges).. den wad is not small trivia stuffs? things dat affect every single citizen? things dat shook our lives? does the escape of Mas Selemat count as a ‘not small trivia stuff’?..
if it is ‘not small trivia stuff’.. wad kinda protest would u see? wad would pple demand of the parliament? demand someone to resign? since he did not perform his obligation well? (it has been 3 wks since M.S.’s escape)
maybe i should question.. do we even give a damn about the parliament & their actions?
unless it affects u monetarily.. den u’l giv it a damn? if not u wil (or might) jus sit at home comfortably den agree/follow along with wadeva they do/decide?
my econs lecturer told us this last month.. he said ‘dun jus forget or overlook those mistakes.. dun jus accept the money happily and forget about wad happened previously’
cool.. i like it
P.S. studying law(@Cambridge) sure is a gd course.. u learn how to to cover up ur ass den turn the tables ard to ur favor
