I was awed by the novel The Prestige by Christopher Priest and it gave me new perspectives on story writing, not to mention the mysteries of Magic too. Thus, I decided to name it using the 3 basic concepts of Magic:
“Pledge” – where the magician shows the audience something that appears ordinary but is probably not, making use of misdirection.
“Turn” – where the magician makes the ordinary act extraordinary.
“Prestige” - where the effect of the illusion is produced.
